Called to Order by LC at 6:01pm at The Morgan Park Community Center

They are working on developing crime stats for our area, however the Capital district remains one of the lowest crime neighborhood in North P.
Q: Lindsey Cox explained that she is interested in producing a safety flyer campaign for the neighborhood, and asked for help. Also she announced a crime reduction initiative for Salemtown: Knowing your neighbor is one of the best ways to reduce crime in your area, because you are more likely to notice unusual activity. So she issued a challenge: Introduce yourself to all the homes that you can see from your house prior to next meeting.
Q: Freddie O’Connell asked for follow up information regarding emergency service miss-routing of a couple of Salemtown property crime calls. Officer Kerpka did not have the answer but promised to forward the question to Com. Graves to contact Freddie with the answer.
Q: Raj Gummi: What happens to photo or video footage of crime? A: Tell officer taking report, the photos would be turned over to investigations. Police are somewhat limited in how they can use eyewitness info, photo or video footage is more useable. Q: Raj: Expressed concern regarding unlit areas of streets. A: Lindsey Cox: Neighborhood lighting falls under Metro works and NES- SNNA is in process of generating a comprehensive plan for lighting. She also mentioned that if a resident noticed an existing streetlight out, take note of the number on the pole and report to NES.

- Green Fleet Bicycles
- Moved from Edgehill Village. Wanted to move to a bike-able area. The store is transportation oriented—using the bike for grocery, work as well as recreational purposes. The company started as a messenger service and evolved into bike shop. Now they do bike tours, rentals and sales. They are now located on Jefferson near Garden Brunch Café. It is their goal to be a resource for community. Provide bike maps and sponsor rides. They have several bike tours: the most requested one is an overview of Nashville. Designed to be very bikeable, so that anyone can do it. Their route is from the Mall to public square to Ryman, and takes about 2.5 hrs. They give tours 5 days a week, 9 months of the year, and rates are around $59 per person.

- Overview of established committees: Most of this subject was put off due to limited time, but Lindsey mentioned that the board has decided not to pursue 501c3 status at this time since it is costly and arduous process. The board agreed that if membership moves to certain level the process to obtain nonprofit status will be started. Lindsey requested that members be on the look out for posts on NextDoor requesting volunteers for Social, Membership and the newly formed ad hock committee Philanthropy.
