Note: Morgan Park Community Center has shortened hours when school is not in session. SNNA will hold meetings at announced locations until they resume their normal hours.

- Metro PD Community Officer had been unable to attend this meeting.
- Reminder from LC to lock car doors, secure valuable items outdoors such as bikes, lawn movers, trimmers. Maintain a log of serial numbers to identify stolen items.
- Also, please report all suspicious instances to Metro PD—This helps to give them a better idea of what is happening in the neighborhood and they can regulate patrols accordingly.
- Night Out Against Crime Event August 2
- SNNA would like to increase the Capitol District involvement with this yearly event. Community members from Buena Vista, Germantown and Hope Gardens will be helping us. She is interested in involving some Germantown businesses as well as members of Neighbors to Neighbors (The community service arm of SNNA.) She is in need of volunteers for the planning committee and the day of.
- Treasurers Report: Hard copy of the report has been maintained.
- Social Committee Report: Upcoming events
- Pink Flamingo Happy Hours: Every Thursday 630pm
- Last Happy Hour of 2016 on July 28. 1811 7th Ave N. Pot luck and movie night (Addams Family). Bring a dish to share.
- New Business:
- Two realtors have contacted LC wanting to organize a tour of homes event and hoping for neighborhood indorsement. They were told that we would need information on what non-profit they would be supporting with the event. We are waiting to hear back.
- New neighbor Holly requested assistance with a parking issue in Salemntown Cottages. The 1.5 spaces per house hold does not appear to be sufficient and has resulted in a tense atmosphere for neighbors. LC offered to help with guidance and information from Public Works.
- Sonja, the representative from Germantown Neighborhood Association announced that Oktoberfest would be happening the 2nd weekend in October. She said that they were thinking about hosting a hospitality tent for Germantown Association Members and would open it up to SNNA members. She also said that they would be holding the annual 5K, and are in need of volunteers for that event.
