Neighbor to Neighbor Service committee
What is it?
Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) is the community service arm of Salemtown Neighbors Neighborhood Association. What do you do? One of the best parts about living in a neighborhood is always having a friend nearby to reach out to in a time of need. N2N helps connect neighbors with a helping hand both through organized services and through our neighborhood volunteers. We also help match people who wish to volunteer in the community with organizations seeking assistance. We have an ongoing relationship with our zoned elementary school where we participate in special events and collect supplies year round, we host events for neighborhood children, such as the annual egg hunt. For the last several years we have hosted Trunk or Treat for our neighbors at the Nashville Rescue Mission. We also have a program to provide meals to neighbors who are ill, had a baby or could otherwise use a hand. Want to participate or let us know about a specific need? The N2N Committee meets roughly on a monthly basis and host volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We post updates on NextDoor and you can find out about our next event or request a service by sending an email to [email protected] for more information. Interested in finding a place to plug in?
